With the club’s first ever National League season now up and running, partnerships off the pitch are also continuing to go from strength to strength.
We are delighted to confirm that our Stadium Sponsors Cygnet Health Care have extended their sponsorship for a further year to coincide with the club’s 75th anniversary. The company became our Stadium Sponsor in July 2019, since when the relationship has flourished with the aim of promoting the positive effect of sport on mental health and wellbeing. Patients from the hospital have regularly attended Peacock games during the past three seasons while the partnership has also provided impetus to the club in setting up their own Community Engagement Project. Cygnet Health Care were also well represented at the recent Champion’s Dinner at Somerset County Cricket Club when they helped us celebrate the wonderful achievements of last season.
Cygnet Hospital Taunton’s Active Life Lead, Stuart Hooper said, “It’s been fantastic developing this partnership before, during and after lockdown. The club is hugely supportive of the hospital and the service users we bring to games. It’s refreshing that this winning club mentally fits alongside our own ambitions, and we wish the club a successful season ahead.”
Taunton Town Chairman Kevin Sturmey commented:” I am delighted that Cygnet Health Care have renewed their Stadium Sponsorship for our 75th Anniversary season. It has been an incredible three seasons since Cygnet became Stadium Sponsor, with two of those seasons ravaged by Covid but with Cygnet still helping us through what was a very tricky period. Our relationship has really developed over the last three years, and I hope we can continue well beyond this season as our Partnership is so much more than football. With a local Hospital here in Taunton and knowing Stuart Hooper (Active Life Lead at the hospital) for a long time, we have really managed to make visits to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium a valuable part of life for the local Cygnet residents. We look forward to this Partnership growing further and help us to cement our place as one of the top sports clubs in our community where engagement beyond football is so important.”
