It’s as you were for local lad Ollie Chamberlain as we are delighted to report the midfielder will be remaining with the Peacocks for the new season.
Ollie, the fourth player so far to confirm, commented:” I’m delighted to be extending my stay with Taunton. I believe the squad has the potential of achieving big things and hopefully with a full season we will be able to show the fans what we’re truly capable of. See you all soon.”
Homegrown talent Chamberlain is in his second stint with the club, having originally played for the Peacocks’ successful Under 18 team in 2011-12 when he made his first team debut. After spells at Bridgwater Town and Wellington, he returned to the Cygnet Health Care Stadium in November 2015 and has since gone on to become an important cog in the Peacocks’ midfield, to date having made 204 full and 24 substitute appearances while scoring 31 goals.
Head of Football Rob Dray said:” Chambo is the mandate for the player we continue to look for at the club. He is an absolute professional with how he looks after himself and how he is around the club. He is also such a consistent performer and a great lad so very pleased he’s staying put.”
