We are very pleased to report that Ben Adelsbury has agreed terms to remain with the Peacocks for next season.
He signed for Town from Truro City in the summer of 2017 following much high level experience at Salisbury City, Eastbourne Borough, Bath City and Truro and has become a regular in the middle of the defence. He has racked up 112 full and 8 substitute appearances over the past three years at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium, scoring 13 goals in the process.
Adelsbury told tauntontown.com:” I’m very pleased to be extending my stay at the club under Rob, Matt and the Meaks. The last few months have been complete madness to say the least regarding the coronavirus pandemic but the conversations I’ve had with the gaffer throughout this off-season period have been very positive and I’m looking forward to getting back on the pitch. I personally just want to mention Matt, Ry, Shane, and Rocky who have all been fantastic teammates and great lads off the field too. I wish them all good luck at their new clubs. However it’s clear to see the gaffer has made some fantastic signings which definitely excites me knowing we are going to compete with the best teams in the league. Up The Peacocks!”
Head of Football Rob Dray added:” Benno has been a consistent performer for the last three seasons, an absolute athlete and without doubt one of the best non-league centre backs in the vicinity, and it’s great he is staying for another season.”
Great to have you back on board Ben!
