The Peacocks will be seeking their 7th consecutive BetVictor Southern League win when they travel to Farnborough tomorrow afternoon (21st December), kick-off 3.00pm.

Last Saturday’s victory over Metropolitan Police lifted Town up to fourth spot with a game in hand on the leading trio and another positive result tomorrow will reinforce their bid for promotion as the season enters the festive period. Farnborough though have steadied themselves after a shaky start; when they came to Somerset in October they sat 18th in the table but they are now in a much healthier position, lying in 7th spot and having suffered only one defeat from their last eight matches including wins on the bounce in their last three outings, the most recent being a 3-1 success at Weston-super-Mare a fortnight ago.

Dan Sullivan is an injury doubt for the Peacocks who will be missing loan striker Jake Jackson who is unavailable. Noah Coppin has joined Bridgwater Town on a month’s loan but another college student Callum Watts is in the Town squad tomorrow. Head of Football Rob Dray said:” Against a form team and in wet conditions it’s going to be a tough assignment. We are the best in the league though at tackling these challenges and on a really good run, so fingers crossed the game is on.”

Due to the recent rain and with more forecasted, we understand that there will be a pitch inspection at 10am tomorrow morning. Any news will be posted as soon as we have it.
