The Peacocks make one of their longest journeys of the season when they travel to Harrow Borough tomorrow afternoon (31st August), kick-off 3.00pm.
Three successive BetVictor Southern League wins have lifted Town up the table to 10th after a poor start and they will be all out to keep the momentum going in London tomorrow. Another difficult challenge lies in wait though with Borough unbeaten so far in their four fixtures to date. They began the campaign with a 1-0 home win over Merthyr and were then on the road for the next three games, a 1-1 draw at Hartley Wintney being sandwiched by victories at Hayes and Yeading United and Walton Casuals. These results see Harrow sit in 4th position and although it is early doors both sides will be eager to maintain their good form and pick up points tomorrow before the break for FA Cup duty next weekend.
New centre half Nick Grimes is added to the squad that travels which is opportune timing given that fellow defender Jamie Price faces a fitness test due to a lower back complaint. Pierce Mitchell returns to the squad which is missing Jack Rice, Noah Coppin and Luke Manley who have all gone out on loan to get more game time. Head of Football Rob Dray said:” Another unbeaten side to play against tomorrow so undoubtedly it will be difficult up there. Harrow are a tough established side who have signed well but we’re in a good place and go there with confidence.”
