We are pleased to announce the signing of Jack Rice and welcome him to the club.
Rice has impressed on a trial basis during the Peacocks’ three friendly matches to date, scoring on his first appearance at Tavistock and making an impact when coming off the bench. The 19 year old attacking midfielder has formerly been with Plymouth Argyle and Yeovil Town as a youth player but was released by Yeovil following a bad ankle injury towards the end of 2017. He fought back to fitness playing for Barnstaple Town last season as well as spending a month at Tiverton Town.
Commenting on joining the Peacocks, Jack said:” I’m very happy to sign for Taunton Town. As soon as I came in I saw a real togetherness between the players and management. I’m looking forward to starting my journey at the club and helping it continue moving in one direction.”
Head of Football Rob Dray added:” Jack will give us something different. His pace and tenacity along with his attitude have been excellent since the start of pre-season and there is a lot more to come from him as he matures.”
