Top of the table Taunton Town entertain fellow Evo-Stik South Premier newcomers Salisbury tomorrow evening at the Viridor Stadium. (28 Nov), KO: 7.45pm.
The Peacocks racked up their 6th consecutive league victory at the weekend with a 4-1 victory at Farnborough and notched up their 17th goal during that process.
Town know that tomorrow’s opponents offer a real threat to their current streak. The Whites currently sit in 3rd position and have only lost twice in their last 14 competitive games and will be full of confidence after progressing to the First Round Proper of the Buildbase FA Trophy following an impressive victory over National League South side East Thurrock United last Saturday.
Rob Dray has a full squad available apart from Douglas Camillo who is with his family following a bereavement. Dray commented, “Both teams are in good form and we look forward to crossing swords tomorrow night. We are at full strength and personally these big clubs coming to the Viridor midweek are great nights. We know we must be at our best as Salisbury have improved and it’s great to see two promoted clubs in the higher reaches of the league. The fans will have a huge part to play in the next six weeks with some big fixtures at home.”
There will be a pitch inspection tomorrow morning following heavy rainfall throughout the day and more expected over night.
