A bad day all round saw the Peacocks suffer a disappointing 3-0 defeat at Wimborne Town in the Southern League Premier South this afternoon.

After losing Ollie Woodhouse and Josh Owers to injury inside the opening quarter hour, Taunton fell behind after 33 minutes when Matt Burrows latched onto Josh Carmichael’s ball to score from a narrow angle. Jake Hodgson’s header back to keeper Josh Gould fell way short, allowing Burrows to slot in Wimborne’s second goal after 57 minutes before it was all too easy for Will Fletcher to find the net from Carmichael’s pass eight minutes later for the third, condemning the Peacocks to defeat following a poor performance.
