The Peacocks take a break from league duty when they travel to divisional rivals Gosport Borough in the 1st Round Proper of the Isuzu FA Trophy tomorrow (26th October), ko 3.00pm.

Both sides will be looking to bounce back from defeats in midweek, Town’s loss at AFC Totton ending their run of seven unbeaten Southern League games whilst Gosport suffered a surprise home reverse to bottom side Marlow on Wednesday evening, a result which leaves them in 17th position, five places but only three points beneath the Peacocks. It therefore promises to be a close battle on the south coast for Taunton’s third trip into Hampshire in the space of a week. There is £3000 prize money on offer for tomorrow’s winners in a tie which will go straight to penalties if the scores are level at 90 minutes.

The Peacocks have Jay Malshanskyj missing as he is cup-tied having played for Bishops Cleeve in an earlier round in an otherwise unchanged squad. Manager Richard Luffman said:” Tomorrow is a good opportunity to get Tuesday night’s result out of our system and we will be all out to put in a good performance for our travelling fans with the aim of progressing further in the competition.”
