TAUNTON TOWN FC LION TRAIL June 2026
From 1 June Taunton town centre will come alive with 48 Lions displayed in shop windows from Taunton station to East Reach, from Bath Place to the Independent Quarter
48 local businesses have agreed to take part in this exciting celebration of international football
What’s Happening?
- The lions are being painted by Art students from King’s College, Monkton Wood Academy, Taunton College UCS and Bishop Fox’s School
- The lions will be displayed in the windows of the 48 participating businesses in Taunton town centre
- Children will be able to take the Lion Trail and identify each country taking part in the World Cup by following the Trail Map
Closing Ceremony
We will be auctioning the lions at a charity football match to be held at our ground at Wordsworth Dr. on
Wednesday 23 September
All proceeds from the auction of the lions and other sporting memorabilia will go to the BARNABY WEBBER FOUNDATION. Watch this space for more details
Where can I pick up a Trail Map?:
Trail Maps will be available for collection from 1 June at Taunton Library and the Taunton Visitor Centre
