Match Preview: Taunton Town v Bracknell Town
After an excellent win on Saturday afternoon, the Peacocks face another quick turnaround as they welcome Bracknell Town to Wordsworth Drive tomorrow evening.
Taunton are coming off a 4-1 win away at Evesham United. The five-goal thriller saw the Peacocks play some incredible football and look extremely strong throughout. Gabe Billington made his first start for the club after returning from injury, while Javan Wright stepped in at right back to replace the injured Niall Thompson.
The standout performer was Max Davies, who was named Man of the Match for an incredible display across both halves and scored his first goal for the Peacocks.
The Peacocks will, however, be looking to rebuild their home form, having lost their last two games at Wordsworth Drive.
Bracknell Town currently sit 13th in the Southern League Premier South, three places behind Taunton. Their last outing was a 1-0 win over Chichester City, with former Farnham Town player Harry Cooksley getting on the scoresheet in the first half.
Ahead of tomorrow evening’s action, First Team Manager Gary Johnson said:
“An excellent performance and result from us on Saturday at Evesham, and some very good performances from our lads.
“We need to get back to winning ways at home. After a super sequence of results at home without losing previously, we will always try to entertain our supporters, and we thank you for your enthusiastic support to date.
“Looking forward to our game against Bracknell on Tuesday night, and trust we will have a competitive match with a positive result.
“My dream is to start getting gates of over 1,000 spectators on average. We, as a club, are trying very hard to entice more support through the gate and respect the fans that are with us already.
“See you there.
“Gaffer.”
Kick-off at Wordsworth Drive is at 7:45pm on Tuesday 20th October. Supporters who can’t make it to the ground can follow the action live on Peacocks Radio.
