Taunton got back to winning ways with a very impressive away performance at Evesham United on Saturday afternoon. Four different scorers in Jay Murray, Alfie Moulden, Ben Seymour and Max Davies finding the back of net.
2 changes to the starting XI with Javan Wright coming into right back and Gabe Billington starting for the first time this season in the middle.
The Peacocks started brightly and on 3 minutes, Jay opened the scoring. Receiving a great ball forward from Robinson, Murray controlled his run and chipped the on rushing goalkeeper.
However that advantage was soon pegged back as Oberi levelled things up after Aaron Heap’s effort came off the bar and Soppuru Oberi was in the right place to fortunately tap in.
On 29 mins Town were back in front. After a Scott Robison header onto to the post, the ball fell to Seymour who then slotted home in to the opposite corner
On 37 minutes, a well worked set piece routine, saw Moulden get on the score sheet to give Taunton a two goal advantage at the break.
With Town in control, they were playing some lovely free flowing football.
And on 69 minutes, Max Davies grabbed his first goal of the season after a spectacular run from his own half, found deep into the opposition half and took the ball into the penalty area and slotted beyond the keepers reach.
A first league win in 5 games, finds The Peacocks in 10th with 16 points.
