Javan Wright Joins from Bideford
We would like to extend a very belated welcome to Javan Wright, who joined the club from Bideford.
Javan joined the Peacocks three weeks ago, making his debut at home to Bath City. Since then he has played a few games for us, including an instant impact off the bench against Frome, where he provided the assist to make it 2-2. Javan wears the number 19.
A winger, Javan arrives from Bideford, where he was a regular in the Southern League. He first caught the eye of Taunton supporters when he played against us for the Robins in the Southern League Cup in September 2021, creating chances down the flank. Earlier this season he scored in a midweek win at Tavistock, and added another a few days later against league leaders Malvern Town.
Head of Football Lloyd Irish said: “Javan Wright has joined us from Bideford, he’s a winger who has pace and power and gives us something a bit different. He knows a few of the lads having played with a few of them previously so he’s a good fit for us. He’s been training hard and with quality so we’re confident he can fit into the team and make an impact. We’ve now got good depth on the wings, Ricey, Jay and Philip have all had a good start to the season and Javan offers something a little different.”
Everyone at the club would like to welcome Javan, and we wish him the best of luck in a Taunton shirt.
