After a disappointing performance in last Saturday’s home defeat to Hanwell Town, the Peacocks’ attention quickly turns to tomorrow evening’s trip to Gloucester City.
Taunton have gone four league games without a win, and the focus now is on putting that right. With a quick turnaround between fixtures, there’s little time to dwell on the result. The aim will be to bounce back with a performance that gets the club back to winning ways.
There was at least one positive from Saturday, with Gabe Billington returning from injury and making an impact off the bench.
Gloucester City currently sit 19th in the Southern League Premier South and arrive in good heart after a 3-1 away win at Hanworth Villa in their last league outing. The Tigers will be looking to build on that result in front of their home supporters at New Meadow Park, so the Peacocks will need to be at their best.
First Team Manager Gary Johnson said: “After a disappointing defeat on Saturday, we look forward to our game at Gloucester on Tuesday night. Our games against Gloucester are always competitive and our boys will need to produce our best game on the night. Our away support is always there and we appreciate them immensely and trust we can give them something to cheer about.”
We hope to see plenty of away supporters at New Meadow Park and wish all travelling fans a safe journey
