Strong and pacy forward who joined the club on a season-long loan from Yeovil Town in July 2023. Malachi began his career with his hometown club Ipswich Town where he was a member of the academy from under 10 to under 16 level. Following his release he earned a two year scholarship at the Crewe Alexandra Academy and went on to feature for both the Railwaymen’s Under 18 and Under 23 teams. He then dropped down to non-league in search of first team football and joined Lowestoft Town in August 2019 where he enjoyed a fruitful spell of 13 goals from just 10 appearances. This form earned him a trial at Wycombe Wanderers who he signed for ahead of the 2020-21 campaign when the club made their debut in the Championship. He was loaned out to Slough Town in October 2020 where he played five games and did enough to secure a new deal with Wanderers for the following season. He made his only first team appearance for the Chairboys in August 2021 against Aston Villa Under 23’s in the Papa John’s Trophy before being loaned out for the season to National League King’s Lynn Town. Mal notched eight goals from 30 games in Norfolk including six in his final ten appearances while also winning the club’s March 2022 Player of the Month award. Surgery on a leg injury in April 2022 saw his season end early and he was released by Wycombe in the summer of 2022, going on to sign for Yeovil for the 2022-23 season when he scored five goals in 35 appearances for the Glovers as they were relegated to the National League South.
