Dan signed for the Peacocks in June 2023 following three successful seasons at Northern Premier League club FC United of Manchester. He began his career in the West Country, firstly with Exeter City up to Under 16 level and then with the Academy at hometown club Torquay United, making his first team debut in April 2015 against Aldershot. He joined Wigan Athletic in January 2016 for a fee of £30,000 but was immediately loaned back to Torquay for the remainder of the season. He continued at Plainmoor for the first half of the following campaign before then going on loan to Welsh Premier League side Rhyl. Another loan at Torquay followed at the start of the 2017-18 campaign before returning to Wigan until his contract expired in the summer of 2019. A season followed at National League club AFC Fylde until a successful pre-season trial at FC United of Manchester saw him join ahead of the 2020-21 season. During his three years in Manchester he racked up 102 appearances and also won the Supporters’ Player of the Year award for 2022-23 along with the FCUM Radio Player of the Year.
